The Huntsville Area

Our hotel is conveniently located near a slew of area attractions and major destinations. We are adjacent to the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and conveniently close to area companies, including Redstone Arsenal, Marshall Space Flight Center (NASA), U.S. Space and Rocket Center, and the Research Park area, which encompasses a number of booming businesses and hubs of vibrant commercial and economic activity. For the pleasure traveler, it is easy to take advantage of our great golfing, shopping, and myriad options for area dining. Furthermore, we are located just a short distance from Madison County, since we are in a great location near Highway 72.

In the northern region of Alabama, Huntsville sits at the heart of Madison County. Today on the map in its own right, the city has grown north of the Tennessee River, incorporating textile mills, factories, and the United States Army Aviation and Missile Command nearby at the Redstone Arsenal. Nicknamed “The Rocket City”, its close history with space missions has impacted the local cultural offerings and attractions. The city’s aerospace and military technology also drives its business-centered destinations, including Cummings Research Park and the prestigious and predominant NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. Higher education facilities are abundant, with Alabama A&M University, Oakwood University, and the University of Alabama in Huntsville in the area. Make sure to reserve your room at our hotel prior to graduation season and commencement ceremonies at these nearby learning locations.

Local Attractions

From our well-located hotel, it is easy to reach area attractions such as the Botanical Gardens, Hampton Cove Golf Course, the enriched historic districts, University of Alabama Huntsville, Oakwood College, Alabama A&M University, Monte Sano State Park, Burritt Museum, and U.S. Space Camp. The area is enriched with diverse dining options, shopping, and eclectic entertainment – all just a short stop from our hotel. In the Old Town Historic District, make your way to the variety of styles that encompass Federal, Greek Revival, Queen Anne, and even California cottages for the architecturally inclined. The Five Points Historic District is largely based on the bungalows built around the turn of the 20th century, when Huntsville was a mill town. Finally, the Twickenham Historic District dates back to the early 19th century.
